Description
Materials & Construction
The Marcus Knee-Length Skirt continues the design language of the Marcus Drop-Waist Jacket through shared materials and considered detailing. It uses the same 350gsm white cotton twill, whose structured weight creates a clean silhouette while maintaining a tailored finish.
Inside, a contrasting scarlet TENCEL™ twill lining adds a distinctive detail. The colour references the lining of the matching jacket, creating a visual connection between the two pieces. Meanwhile, decorative topstitching traces the hem and echoes the jacket’s finishing details.
At the centre back, an invisible zip creates a discreet closure. A back vent also allows ease of movement, while the full lining provides a smooth finish against the body.
Made to Order
Each Marcus Knee-Length Skirt is individually made to order. This approach allows careful attention to construction, fit and finishing throughout the process.
Wear it with the Marcus Drop-Waist Jacket for a coordinated look, or style it independently. Either way, the skirt brings its own character through its structured fabric, contrasting lining and distinctive hem detailing.
Custom adjustments are also welcome. If you would prefer a different length, fit or individual modification, please get in touch before ordering to discuss your requirements. You can also enquire about alternative fabrics and colours, subject to material availability and sourcing.
Measurements & Fit
The skirt sits at a mid-rise position and falls to the knee. Its clean silhouette balances the structure of the cotton twill with ease of movement. Together, the proportions and tailored details create a versatile piece that works just as well on its own as it does with the matching jacket.

A Note on Individuality
The Marcus Knee-Length Skirt forms part of the Marcus collection, which explores the relationship between archival references, considered proportions and contemporary garment design.
While the skirt complements the jacket through shared materials and detailing, its silhouette stands confidently on its own. The contrasting scarlet lining and topstitched hem add subtle points of distinction, bringing the collection’s visual language into a separate garment.
Studio Mariienko approaches garment making through thoughtful pattern making, considered construction and an appreciation for detail. Each piece offers an opportunity to explore individual design, with bespoke commissions welcoming ideas beyond the original form.
